Yaacov Agam

Yaacov Agam is an Israeli artist, born in 1928 in Rishon Lezion, a graduated of the Bezalel Academy. During the early stages of his career, he developed an artistic style known as “Op-Art”, which is based on optical deceptions. Agam is considered to be the most widely acclaimed Israeli artists. Many of his works are based on light and sound. His artworks are displayed in many locations around the globe, including the water and fire fountain in Dizengoff Square, and the kinetic sculpture in the sculpture garden at the Israel Museum.
